Jenish
Jain.
Senior software engineer at Rapido, building the backbone of India's bike-taxi network. Electrical engineer by training, engineer by choice. I like distributed systems, side-quests in Go, and the satisfying click of a problem becoming a service.
An electrical engineer who fell in love with shipping software—and never quite stopped.
I started out poking at IoT prototypes as a freelancer, then joined Rapido as an intern in 2019. Five years and a lot of pricing experiments later, I'm a senior engineer on the team that decides what every ride should cost.
When I'm not at work I'm usually building something small in Go, writing on blog.jenishjain.in, or trying to teach an AI agent to do my standups for me.
intern
Featured · 2025An AI intern that looks up tickets assigned to it and autonomously works on them. The kind of teammate that doesn't complain about Mondays.
sidekick
2024A tiny Go companion process that tells me dadjoke, helps with my 2fa and whatever i tame it for.
pdf2audiobook
2023Turn any PDF into a free audiobook. Cloud Functions + Natural Jenks + Text-to-Speech, glued together with a stubborn weekend.
bean_counter
OngoingI wrote some Go code to help my dad with his taxes so I wouldn't have to do them myself
blog.jenishjain.in
2022 →Notes on Kafka, system design, Terraform, and the occasional rant about engineering culture.
Tools I reach for, without thinking.
A short list. Languages move; the muscle of "small services, clear contracts, observable everything" doesn't.
Let's build something.
